10 perfect dresses for the holidays.

even though i've just returned from Costa Rica and all things tropical, i've been busy scouring the internet for the best holiday dresses to take you from a party with friends to an intimate date night with your lover and everything in between. below i've rounded up my personal favorites, some of which i've already purchased. ready to get my holiday on! xx

sequin & velvet sheath dress:the perfect alternative to a LBD for some holiday glitz. i would wear this with black strappy heels and a red lip to let the dress do allll the talking! curvy sizes here.

lace midi dress:nothing says feminine more than a lace dress that creates a gorgeous hourglass figure. plus, bordeaux is such a sultry look, perfect for a candlelight dinner with your significant other for the holidays. pair this with a smokey eye and gold clutch. you know i'd wear a pair of SPANX underneath this one!

fit & flare sweater dress:there aren't many dresses more flattering than a fit & flare! they create a waist and then effortlessly skim over your bottom half. i actually have this exact dress in a patterned version and absolutely love it. it's a thick sweater material, too. wear this with tights and some glittery block heels for an easy peasy look.

tiered ruffle sleeve dress:statement sleeves are IN and even though this dress is more on the casual side, it's also very versatile. wear it to work with patterned tights & pointed toe flats or dress it up with heels and dangly gold earrings for a night out! i imagine myself wearing this with a pair of sparkly knee high boots, too.

ruched velour wrap dress:who says you can't wear pink during the holidays? plus, blush is still very much so the 'it' color of the year. this dress is under $100, can't beat that!

sequin body-con dress:i first saw this on Nordstrom's home page and knew i had to snag it for New Year's Eve! i love the different colors, and sequins are a given to ring in the new year. it is a bit of a splurge, but i definitely think i'll get use out of it over the years!

satin faux wrap dress:of course i had to add at least one little black dress! this one is only $55 and comes in three other colors. i would size up for just a little more length. this is a sassy little dress and the wrap style is so flattering! add a faux fur cheetah coat for a touch of hollywood glam.

tie sleeve fit & flare dress:red is always my favorite to wear during the holidays, and the details on this dress are so pretty. between the tie sleeves, pleats, and neckline this dress is a winner in my book! you know i'd pair it with some gold accessories.

velvet gown:i've been on the hunt for a velvet gown for our Christmas card photos, and this one just might be it! it did come in green at one point too, so i'm going to keep my eye out for it. regardless, this is such a gorgeous color and perfect for a black tie holiday event. i would wear my hair in a braided up-do and nude lip. loving all things velvet right now!

rose organza high/low maxi dress:if there's one word to describe this dress it would be dramatic, but in the best way possible. i love the red roses and high/low details! plus, the beaded waistline just gives it the perfect touch of glamor. wear this for a date night to see The Nutcracker and throw on a faux fur stole for added warmth and a sense of high fashion. so gorgeous!
