citizenM Tower of London hotel.

the first stop of our recent trip to Europe was London, and robbie and i stayed at the amazing citizenM Tower of London hotel! we arrived at 10pm on our first day, so jet lagged and tired after having flown 12 hours. the staff was so incredibly friendly and helped us get settled in quickly so we could have a good night's rest. i have never stayed at a citizenM hotel before, but it turns out that this is actually their flagship hotel and it is absolutely stunning! citizenM is known for luxury with a modern edge, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the unique details of the hotel. from the London theme to the cheeky decor, citizenM truly is unlike anywhere we've stayed before.the best part about this particular citizenM hotel is the incredible view! one side of the hotel faces the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. now, when booking a room, the most important thing to know about citizenM is that their rooms are small. however, that didn't bother either one of us in the slightest. robbie and i prefer to be cozy {must be the San Franciscans in us!} and it truly felt like we were tucked into our own comfy space with everything we needed, including multi-colored lights robbie turned on every night. obviously the rooms facing the Tower take the room to another level and as you can see below, makes breakfast in bed that much better.speaking of breakfast, there is a full spread in the lobby that can be conveniently charged to your room for an affordable price. it's all cooked by professional chefs, hearty, delicious, and the perfect way to start off a long day of exploring the city! robbie would run down every morning and bring up our food on a tray so we could eat while getting ready. {i had a chocolate croissant and fresh squeezed orange juice every morning and never once got tired of it. okay, and eggs and their version of bacon, too.} there's also plenty of dining and working space on the first floor. we noticed a lot of 'citizens' hanging out there, giving the lobby a real community feel, which we loved! it's supposed to mimic an actual living room and citizenM nailed it!although the rooms are small, they pack a lot of punch. every single room has a super comfortable king size bed, which is the ultimate form of relaxation after site-seeing all day. each room also has free wi-fi and an incredible rain shower. the coolest part? the rooms come with an iPad that controls everything in the room from room temperature and lighting to free movie selection and mapping your next day of exploration. another feature that quite literally saved us was the international charging station! i brought the right converter plugs for Paris, but completely spaced that the UK has different plugs. in our room, we could just plug in our USBs directly into the wall to charge our phones!finally, there's a trendy bar with an incredible view on the top floor! even though we don't drink, we stopped by one night for some red velvet cake and enjoyed the scene for a bit. there's always lots of people mingling in the bar and lobby, but the rooms stay quiet and relaxing. also, the first five floors of this particular citizenM hotel have an ironing room, which i used several times to get wrinkles out of packed clothes. so convenient!we loved our stay at the citizenM Tower of London hotel and highly recommend this contemporary luxury hotel to everyone visiting London! there's a Tube station literally 30 seconds from the lobby door, which makes it a convenient place to stay no matter where you're headed in the city. we had such a great experience that we can't wait to visit citizenM hotels in other cities. for now i'll just be reminiscing of this view we woke up to every morning. thanks for having us, citizenM! xx

thanks to citizenM Tower of London hotel for the incredible stay!
