Decorating for Trick-or-Treaters with Walmart!

this is the first year we get actual trick-or-treaters and i am SO excited! we have the cutest little kids in our new neighborhood, and it'll be so fun to see their costumes and give away candy. that being said, decorating for Halloween has been the last thing on my mind this month! Baby Taz is almost three weeks old, so that means all my time and energy has been spent taking care of our sweet little guy. but since this is the first Halloween {and major holiday!} in our new home, i definitely wanted to throw something together for the neighborhood kids. robbie and i decided to decorate the front door to be a bit festive, so for our first "date night" ever {grandma was watching Taz!}, we headed to Walmart to pick up a few things.

while we easily could have done Walmart pick-up {such a convenient option!}, it was so nice to stroll the aisles and grab everything we needed in one place and at incredible prices! Walmart is such a great one-stop-shop for all our needs, making our lives easier with a newborn. we snagged decorations like cobb webs, a wreath, glittery spiders, and various pumpkins and plenty of treats like variety candy packs and Halloween individually packed Oreos {my personal fave}. i even grabbed a fun witch hat to wear {so many costumes available, too}! we were in and out in under and hour, which was the perfect amount of time to get what we needed, enjoy some mom and dad time, and not be gone too long from our little man. it'll be such a fun memory to look back on as our first date post-baby!
