a few weeks ago, robbie and i traveled down to central California for his TEDx event in Salinas! we decided to make a little weekend getaway out of it since he had to arrive the day before for rehearsal. Salinas is a small agricultural town, but less than 20 minutes away is beautiful Monterey and its legendary tranquil beach charm. Hotel Pacific in Monterey became our home for the weekend and we couldn't have loved it more! we stayed in a junior suite and loved the cozy fireplace, nautical theme, tucked in location, and sound of the running waterfall fountain outside in our courtyard view. Hotel Pacific is located right downtown, close to Cannery Row and all of the shops & restaurants are easily in walking distance. we ate at quite a few delicious restaurants close by including Cibo {amazing Italian!} and Revival Ice Cream {purely organic and natural... and yummy!}.the staff at Hotel Pacific was accommodating and each morning they served a complimentary breakfast. our room had a balcony and i loved all of the quaint details including wicker chairs, vaulted ceilings, and a beautiful navy & gold room. my most favorite part of the bathroom was a separate bubble bath and shower for both of us! after an exhilarating TEDx event, robbie loved being able to come back to the hotel and relax. that's a very important aspect of traveling for us and Hotel Pacific nailed it with its seaside tranquility.we drove to Carmel River Beach {photos below}, which was about 15 minutes away and the perfect, moody beach to walk along and enjoy the central coast. i highly recommend driving to Carmel and going to From Scratch for brunch one morning. that was one of our very favorite meal! there is so much to do and see in the area because Monterey, Carmel, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Pebble Beach, and Pacific Grove are all within 15-20 minutes of each other. we cruised around all these cozy beach towns all weekend with no problem.we can't wait to go back and explore more of Monterey, its beautiful beaches, and stay at Hotel Pacific once again! i'll be sharing robbie's TEDx talk soon. stay tuned! xx dip-dyed dress bowtie blouse {curvy sizes here}gingham skirt red Gucci loafersred Chanel handbag {similar here}
