i hope everyone has had the best long weekend! Labor Day always seems to be the very end of summer, and with the abnormally high temperatures in SF this weekend, i was ready to soak in every last ounce of the season and then wave goodbye. i'm heading to New York for Fashion Week on Wednesday, so i definitely have fall trends on my mind! that being said, i wanted to share three fun looks from Anthropologie that are perfect transitional styles heading out of summer and into fall!last year, robbie and i spent Labor Day in Napa. the floral maxi dress is an easy breezy ensemble for wine country. it's light weight and the perfect transitional piece. you can wear it with heels for an evening dinner or pair it with booties for tromping around vineyards. i'll be wearing this into fall with a dark lipstick!this year, we enjoyed a staycation here in SF! with all of our recent traveling, it felt amazing to be home, and yet still enjoy a little relaxation in our own city. we stayed at the beautiful Hotel Zoe in North Beach downtown and did some exploring. i wore my weekend tee and patchwork denim skirt since it was such a warm weekend for a pizza dinner and walking around. i can't wait to transition the skirt into fall with tights, booties, and an oversized sweater.next year we are planning to spend Labor Day down south in the Santa Cruz! while you typically think of beaches and bikinis in SC, my striped overalls are a perfect way to dress up a bit for a date night out. i paired them with a lace top and my favorite sneakers for an overall cool girl look. nothing like a sunset dinner beachside to end the summer, am i right?!all three outfits below from Anthropologie work so well for various Labor Day activities and transitioning into fall! because Northern California is typically cool weather, you usually see people at the beach in jeans and a sweatshirt. i love being able to wear light layers year round!
