when we first moved to San Francisco over a year ago, i was very surprised to find that everyone dresses pretty casually here! moving to a major city that has many fashion brands and amazing shopping, i was not expecting to see such a laid back style everywhere i went. since that time, i've tailored my daily wardrobe a bit to fit San Francisco life. you know i still love dressing up: heels, lipstick, dresses, the works. but on an every day basis {when i manage to change out of my pjs... #workfromhomelife} i'm in jeans and a tee or casual blouse.as i've gotten older, i've also come to rely on comfort as well. the other day robbie asked me why i don't wear heels as much on date nights and i replied simply: "hills." there's nothing more difficult than walking up and down the steep hills of SF to get to your restaurant or movie theatre. thus, flats have become my go-to whenever i'm out and about in the city.i'm excited to share with you my every day dress code with Express! Express always has the best pieces that are high quality and so easy to mix and match. my striped blouse is SO soft and i decided to tie the ends together to add a fun, unique detail! since it's almost summer, i tend to lean more towards white or light denim. i can already tell this white distressed pair will be a staple for the coming seasons. it's the perfect thickness, has just the right amount of stretch, and the raw hem is so chic. i finished off my casual look with a neutral sandal that can be worn well into fall here. i love the ankle tie, which adds yet another unique detail to this laid back look. when it comes to casual, it's all in the small details to dress it up and make it my own!now just wishing this gorgeous bougainvillea grew all over my own home! xx striped blouse c|o Express white distressed denim c|o Express lace-up sandals c|o Express Cult Gaia bag crystal choker Patina liquid lipstick
