if you follow me on snapchat {username: sarahktripp}, then you know robbie & i attended the exhibit Oscar de la Renta: The Retrospective at the de Young Museum here in San Francisco last week! it is an incredible display and if you are a Bay Area local {particularly fashionista} it's a must see! May 30th is the last day it's open & you won't want to miss it.

the exhibit features 130 incredible pieces of Oscar's designs, all the while showing the transition of cultural influences as he became one of the top fashion icons of our day. i've always loved learning about the history of fashion {i even took a class about it in college}, and this retrospective is informative & interesting, while still being so very glamorous {as high end fashion always is}. you also learn all about Oscar's life, which i previously didn't know much about. you come to find that not only is he an extraordinary designer, but also a humble man with a big heart {he opened an orphanage in his home country}.

i could rave for days about this Retrospective, and not to mention the fact that the exhibit is covered with hot pink signage that i unintentionally matched! go check it out for yourself before May 30th! xx
