shopping secrets & blooms.

i'm going to let you all in on a little secret. most people think i shop endlessly, which is probably true {hey, i work full time and so does the hubs, i'm allowed to have a little fun!}. BUT what most people don't know is that i try to be pretty smart about my shopping. there are a few items i will splurge full price on, but for the most part i shop sales {i consider one of my talents to be how long i can/will wait for something to go on sale... and i check it. often}, second-hand store/sites, AND somehow i just always can find the right items at the right prices. it's a science.this Free People top? originally over $100, paid less than $50 for it. these Paige Denim jeans? originally $150, paid $25 because they were half off at DownEast of all places. that Louis Vuitton Speedy 30? bought off a friend who was selling hers for a bigger size {i also have bought a few of my other Louis at this second-hand site i'm obsessed with}. these FREEBIRD sandals i've been wanting for past two summers? they are quite the splurge, but i finally decided to pull the trigger when they were 25% off at the Shopbop sale a few weeks ago. i knew i probably wouldn't be able to find them for a better deal since i've been watching them for so long.so there ya have it! i don't just purchase items at full price because i have to have them as a style blogger. i loved fashion way before i started blogging. and while i do love to shop, i've become a smarter shopper as i've gotten older. i would rather save and then spend under $50 for a Free People top at Nordstrom Rack than buy 4 tops from Forever21 that will last me 2 wash cycles.enough about shopping though, how amazing are these blooms! love Miss Haley for capturing the season in this shoot. happy spring! top: Free Peopledistressed jeans: Paige Denimsandals: FREEBIRD by Stevennecklace: Rocksboxring: Rocksboxbracelets: Alex and Ani {some of my favs here, here, here & here}watch: Michael Korshandbag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 {or shop it gently used here}sunnies: Ray-Banlipstick: MAC Real Doll {new fav, similar to Snob}
