trend changes.
i was just thinking the other day how even i as a fashion blogger can get stuck on certain trends, like skinny jeans. during my high school years {2006-2010}, skinny jeans really took off and became the norm. it was then that flared, bell-bottom, bootcut {whatever you want to call it} denim was frowned upon and if you were wearing those jeans, you were out of the fashion loop.last fall, i wrote this blog post all about how to make your denim last longer, and i also premiered these bootcut jeans. it had been years since i wore bootcut and i am so happy this trend {or should i really call it a classic?!} is back! it's seriously so flattering! bootcut makes my short little legs {i'm only 5'5} look a mile long, plus they also balance out my proportions. in the world of fashion, i think it's important to be aware of trends, have trendy pieces, but also be aware of what's flattering for your figure and if a certain piece is more of a classic staple, don't get rid of it because more trendy items come along.just my two cents for the day! happy weekend eve! xxps: i promise i steamed this blouse, but as soon as i got in my car it wrinkled! loving all the details on it, though! blouse: Free Peopleundershirt c/o: Half Teedenim: Joe'sheels: Stuart Weitzmanhandbag: Tory Burchnecklace: Kendra Scottbracelets: Alex and Anisunglasses: Michael Kors {similar}lips: Pink Nouveau
