these photos turned out to be everything i hoped they would be and more. while i take professional photos weekly, robbie & i haven't had any together since a mini Valentine's shoot earlier this year! when Utah Fashion Week first announced a few months ago that it would be held in SLC and be a black tie gala, i immediately hopped online to find a dress. i own a few short cocktail dresses, but nothing to fit the bill for a black tie event.one of my favorite bloggers has worn Virgos Lounge for multiple occasions {here, here, here, & here}, so that's where i started to look first. a majority of their gowns are already modest or can be made so with minor modifications. as you can see with my dress, i had fabric sewn in to cover the large keyhole & i also had the leg slit sewn up a few inches. i love how it turned out! i couldn't resist wearing a dress in my signature color, so i knew the minor modifications would be so worth it.my makeup artist friend Brynn Thomas did my makeup and i love how talented she is!
