my 2018 goals.

happy 2018! i hope everyone’s first week of the new year is going great! you probably noticed that we took a small break between Christmas and New Year’s… and it was just what the doctor ordered. after spending quality time with family and slowing down a bit, robbie and i are now reenergized and super excited to dive head first into the new year! we have been planning big things for 2018 for quite some time now and we can’t wait to get started!

goals are such a huge part of SRL, but also our life in general. every year around October/November we start setting goals for the next year. these range from business goals & personal goals to goals for our relationship and spirituality. we reference them all year round and keep an up-to-date list that we check off. we set ambitious goals that we definitely have to work hard to achieve, but at the same time are also attainable. this year we were so blessed to successfully reach all of our business goals by the beginning of September. instead of cruising through the rest of the year, we set more goals to complete by the end of December and continue on into the new year. i read a quote the other day that said ‘the best way to predict the future is to create it.’ we talked a lot about this in our recent post about how we made over six figures on this blog, but being a consistent go-getter is the only real key to success.

i won’t be sharing all of my 2018 goals {got to keep the major things secret and some are personal} but i did want to share a few below!

floss daily
sounds silly, but i’m the worst at this! robbie does it every night… and i maybe do it once every six months and my gums always bleed whenever i get my teeth cleaned. whoops! luckily, i never get cavities, but i know this is a healthy habit i need to get into.

read a book a month
my schedule is so crazy that most days i’m working from 7:30am to 11pm {or later…}. robbie and i are making it a point this year to slow down in the evenings, get off our phones/computers, and read before going to bed. i’ll be sharing all 12 books on my list for this year soon!

start a #TeamTripp podcast
we’ve been wanting to do this for awhile and are constantly receiving messages from all of you about doing it. robbie & i are setting a goal to start our podcast this year! stay tuned!

do some awesome giveaways for my awesome followers
this year i’m going to take a break from the usual blogger loop giveaways and starting creating fun giveaways myself! i’ve already have some awesome experiences, trips, and luxury items planned. since i’m so excited, i’ll tell you what our first giveaway of the year will be: someone will win a weekend in San Francisco and get to go to the Taylor Swift concert with me! will be sharing more details very soon!

buy a home
when you live in the most expensive city in America, this is a very lofty goal, but it’s at the top of our to-do list! we have some favorite neighborhoods in SF that we have our eye on, and we hope to work hard & become homeowners by the end of this year! putting this out into the universe and speaking it into existence! i’ll be honest, i’m really excited for a custom closet haha.

create more YouTube videos
we had so much fun shooting my big Sassy Red Lipstick intro video this year, and the response was so great! it’s clear many of you like to see video {even on my IG, like handbag unboxings} and so we have tons of ideas of things we want to shoot and post on my channel. be sure to subscribe here so you don’t miss out on all the fun!

robbie and i have many more goals for 2018, but just wanted to give you a small sneak peek into what we have to look forward to this year. cheers to 2018! xx

ps: the below photos were taken at the end of 2017 on our last trip to NYC! i’ve never EVER seen the Brooklyn Bridge this empty during the day. we shot these mid-morning and i love how they turned out! plus, all the pink doesn’t hurt ;] there’s a few sizes left of my pink faux fur coat, so snag it before it’s gone!

pink faux fur coat {similar here, here, and here}
black long sleeve bodysuit
bow skinny jeans
crystal drop earrings
Chanel cat-eye sunglasses {budget-friendly version here}

    I love your reading goal. I was asked this question of how many books I plan to read this year? May not be 12 like you, but I hope to surpass the three I read last year.
    Interesting goals for 2018. Wish you success and good luck.

    My incredibly pressing question is: how do you pee in that bodysuit?
    Second to that is: when are you going to post about the books you’ll read this year? I did a goal last year for one book a month but because I didn’t plan which books ahead of time I only managed six. Can’t wait to hear yours and maybe get some ideas!

    Any goal is feasible if well planned. I recommend trying the iSmart.Life app. I use this app to planning my goals, tasks, projects.This is a very simple and free web app. Has many useful features: goals, projects, budgets, notes, reports, etc You can see the demo and decide whether it suits you or not…
