my 2018 reading list.

i mentioned in my 2018 goals post that i have set out to read a book a month this year! that may seem like a small goal to avid readers--or maybe a lofty goal to those who don't read--but it's a doable goal for my busy schedule and i'm going to try my hardest to make it happen! reading has always been very important to me and something i've always enjoyed. but as our travel schedule gets more crazy along with the success of our careers, it's become a lot harder to do. for me, i would usually read on planes but i usually have a million emails to catch up on that i'll work the whole flight instead. for robbie, he spends all day writing, taking/editing my photos, or doing a hundred other little things for my blog that he's too drained to read a book. as a result of our hectic schedules, we end up watching an episode of a tv show instead of reading because we're both so mentally exhausted. however, we know we need to be better at expanding our minds and not just vegging in front of Netflix every night, no matter how tired we are. we both are making an effort this year to read instead of being on our phones, to unwind from the day instead of working through the night, and taking even just twenty minutes out of our schedule to read {and hopefully learn!} something new.that being said, so many of you wanted to know the books i plan on reading this year! below are the 12 books i want to finish in 2018, in no particular order. if you've read a few of them yourselves, please let me know what you think! this list is flexible and subject to change; i always love book suggestions! if you're passionate about one particular book, feel free to leave your favorite reads in the comment section below. here's to slowing down a bit and reading actual physical books {what i prefer!} this year. xx
