five tips for staying active in the summer.

get outdoorsyou know i love my studio classes {SoulCycle, yoga, etc}, but this time of the year i love exercising outdoors, too! summer usually comes with gorgeous weather. some places may be warmer than others, but it's the perfect time of the year to go for a jog in the park, go for a hike, bike around your neighborhood, or even go for a long walk. take advantage of the great weather and take your routine outsidex!grab a friendi used to only like working out alone, but as i've gotten older i really love not only the company of a girlfriend {or Robbie}, but also the motivation. i'm way more likely to push myself when i have someone to keep me in check. plus, it makes exercising more social and fun!stay hydratedi'm one of those people who sweats a lot when working out, and i always feel like i sweat even more during the summer. it's so, so important to stay hydrated and i'm always chugging water throughout the day. invest in a cute water bottle or tumbler, and sip all day long. plus, it'll help clear up your skin too!snag cute workout gearis there anything more motivating than a cute new workout set?! i love shopping for new gear because it actually makes me excited for my next workout. i'm definitely a fan of Lululemon and Nike, but Old Navy has so many great items for a quarter of the cost! the leggings {size down!} i'm wearing in today's post are more for yoga, but i wore the tropical print bra to SoulCycle, and it worked perfectly for keeping the ladies in place!don't give upworking out consistently can be hard if you travel a lot during the summer months {hell, it can be hard in general}, and i totally get that. not to mention there's the endless BBQs, ice cream treats or snowcones on a hot day, funnel cake at your local fair, etc. sometimes your exercise routine gets thrown off, but that's okay! get back on the horse and make the next day count. it's important to remember that one {or two or three} bad days of eating or skipping your workout isn't the end of the world and you still have tomorrow! sometimes i get down on myself when this happens, but as soon as i get my sweat on, i always feel better immediately. tropical print bra c|o Old Navypink long sleeve c|o Old Navy {worn flipped around}black yoga tights c|o Old Navy {size down}white Nike sneakersCeline sunglassesBKR water bottle
