the most flattering denim skirt.

we made it to Friday! this weekend robbie and i plan to do absolutely nothing, and i can't even wait. by the way, we just finished watching Ozark on Netflix and definitely recommend it if you need a thriller to get into. i'd love to share some of our favorite shows lately, would anyone be interested in that?on another note, to say i'm obsessed with today's outfit is an understatement. the best part about living in San Francisco is that i get to wear my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items NOW instead of waiting until the fall. jokes aside {because SF is known for its cold summers}, this outfit is so great to wear now and later.if you haven't already snagged this distressed denim skirt, you need to. it's so flattering and the distressing makes it trendy. now for sizing, it's all over the place but that's what you have me for! online, this brand recommends sizing down. i initially ordered the size 10 {see it on me in this post}, and even though i liked they way i looked in it {as did Robbie}, it was way too tight. i could barely breathe and there's no way i could sit down. i ended up sizing up, so in today's post i'm wearing the size 14. apparently, this brand stretches out and thus why they recommend sizing down. maybe it's my curves {even though this brand is meant for curvy girls...}, but the size 14 doesn't stretch out any more than a normal pair of jeans you wear all day would. soooo i would definitely recommend sizing up! and as you can see, it's still very much figure-hugging. this is a gentle reminder that it's more important to buy the size that fits you, instead of 'your size' that might not. don't let a number inside your jeans define your worth. sizing is ALL over the place these days.sadly, my exact kimono is sold out, but i found a super similar one and it's on sale, too! tonight is date night, and i'll be styling my kimono with a slip dress {on sale!}. stay tuned to see the outfit! have the best weekend. xx navy floral kimono {similar here}distressed denim skirt {size up!}white v-neck teeChloe Susanna bootiesrose gold choker {similar here}red Chanel Jumbo bagclear cat eye sunglassesRuby Woo lipstick
