new series: casual friday no. 1
happy Friday, babes! i hope you all had a great week!i share a lot of my favorite things and links over on my Stories, but that's not very permanent. so i thought i'd share a round-up of my week every Friday here on my blog! a few of my favorite bloggers do this and i love reading them! you'll be seeing interesting articles/blog posts i've come across, what i've purchased this week, travel plans, must-have beauty products, things that made me laugh, etc. i've decided to call the series 'casual friday' because it's a super casual, informal blog post sharing some random details about our life.so basically, you'll see a collage of what's happening in my life at the moment every Friday. here goes!i did an entire Valentine's Day try-on haul on my Stories {saved on my highlights}, but here is everything linked in one place:
speaking of Valentine's Day, i recently bought some fun heart-shaped earrings! the ones i'm wearing above are here, and i also bought these and these.robbie and i are HUGE Game of Throne fans... and with the announcement of it returning for the last season on April 14th, this trailer had us shaking in our boots!!!!! {also, read this fan theory about it}every single time i wear my blush Saucony sneakers, i get so many DMs! you can purchase them here.i am still giggling over this world record egg.this week we watched Surviving R. Kelly and it simultaneously honestly fired me up and made me SO sad. what did you think about it?i've been working out in Fabletics for the past two weeks and i am LOVING the quality/styles. seriously, just as good {if not better} than my Lululemon leggings... because the price and size-inclusivity is *praise hands*i've been using this for my dry skin for years, but now living in Arizona it's a whole new beast to stay moisturized. so glad the brand came out with this version that makes application even easier! {for reference, i use it on my lips, i swear by it helping heal blemishes, cracked heels, dry elbows, etc.}i've been wearing this lipstick in 'Sultriness' nonstop! it's the prettiest natural pink shade for every day.did you catch our Christmas haul unboxing video on my YouTube channel?! if so, then you'll have seen the new Chanel bag i added to my collection! the color is to DIE for... and i can't stop buying Tiffany Blue things to match {this, this, and this}.one of my favorite pink swimsuits i wore on our cruise is now on sale for under $25 {!!!!!} and almost fully stocked. go, go, go!!!!so incredibly honored to be included in the LTK awards for 2018! i was given a Voice of Influence Honoree for body positivity. i never in a million years thought i'd be awarded something like this in the fashion/blogger industry, and truly it's such an honor. i cried when they emailed me to tell me. as someone who doesn't look like a typical blogger/model, it just means so much to me that changes are happening in the industry. three cheers for representation, positivity, and making a difference!ps: you can vote in the LTK awards here!my word of the year is intention, so a big part of this goal is creating original content that means something. you might have noticed already in blog posts {celery juice, book reviews, curvy girl closet staples, etc}, but this year is all about creating with a purpose. this new casual friday series might turn into an email newsletter down the line, but for now it'll live here. that being said, i'd LOVE some requests for what you want to see here on SRL. let me know below in the comments!
