Prêt-à-Portea at the Berkeley.

both robbie and i had never been to London before so it's been high on our list for quite some time. we had the very best time exploring so many different parts of this historic city! each neighborhood was so different and unique. i'll be sharing my complete London Travel Guide soon and posting all about our favorites from eating to shopping to site-seeing. however, the highlight of our time in London for me was being hosted for afternoon tea at The Berkeley in the upscale Knightsbridge neighborhood! The Berkeley is known for their legendary designer afternoon tea called Prêt-à-Portea. this experience, as it truly is a full experience and not just your average afternoon tea, was such a treat! every six months the menu is changed and inspired by the current trends & themes of the fashion world. as you can see here, the cakes and fancies were inspired by the designs of Gucci, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, and more. the finger sandwiches were incredible, my fresh mint tea was so refreshing, but the cakes and fancies were so exquisitely designed {and of course delicious!} that the fashionista in me was completely enamored with the whole experience. robbie and i spent three wonderful hours having good conversation, sipping our tea, and enjoying the amazing service of the staff! we were treated like royalty, and it was such a relaxing afternoon for us. we loved being able to take a break from site-seeing and soak in this British tradition. The Berkeley in and of itself is an incredible hotel and we are set on staying there on our next trip to London! it has gorgeous views of Hyde Park and is just a short walk to Kensington Palace.the manager graciously gave me their book Prêt-à-Portea, High-Fashion Bakes & Biscuits, which is a collection of their recipes and baking techniques. it was such a thoughtful gift and it just put their incredible service over the top for me. i just might try my hand at a few recipes! here's to wishing this is tradition was practiced in the US! keep scrolling to see the gorgeous Collins Room where tea is served and all of the incredible fashion-inspired treats. xx  light blue sweater {also here and here}white button up {worn underneath}dark washed denimwhite perforated oxfordsembellished pearl Gucci bagPink Nouveau lipstick
