trendy suiting: NYFW day 2 with ASOS.

i've always had a thing for suits. in fact, last September i wore a suit for NYFW week as well, but it was more on the classy side. i love how suits are coordinated, structured, and feel put together. you've probably noticed by now i like to match my shoes to my bags to my lipsticks. this NYFW, i decided to try a more relaxed, trendy suit! when i first came across this teal set, i knew pops of pink would instantly make the outfit. i about fell off my seat when i found the hot pink OTK boots and knew they would match my new Chanel Boy bag perfectly!ASOS just gets me. my favorite part about wearing their clothes head-to-toe for NYFW this year was being able to find pieces i absolutely love, but were a little more bold from my day-to-day style. there's truly something for everyone on their site! i order pieces for robbie all the time from casual to sunday best, too. plus, i have a lot of followers/readers ask about brands that include extended sizes, and ASOS has a huge selection for curvy gals! i love when brands simply extend their sizes, so girls with a little more junk in the trunk can find the exact same items that everyone else is wearing.now for a recap of Day 2 of NYFW! my roommies and i started off the day with a little meeting at BaubleBar. their showroom is so gorgeous and we got to take a few jewels home. their jewelry is my go-to for statement/trendy pieces. after, we headed to the Kate Spade presentation, which was located at the Oyster Bar inside of Grand Central Terminal. it was such a cool and moody atmosphere, plus Kate Spade always has the most fun pieces! while there, i ran into my blogger idol, Blair Eadie. i've been following Blair since 2010, so it was so surreal to finally meet her in person. she is so sweet and said i made her day... the feeling was mutual! next, we headed to the rewardStyle Retreat, which happened to be at the penthouse of Hotel Rivington. the views were amazing and it was a chance for us all to relax & mingle with all our blogger friends. plus, we also got to shoot at the brand new LTK wall in NYC located just around the corner from the hotel! if you're in the City, be sure to stop by.we then headed to the Milly presentation, which was full of fun, rainbow hues, and following that we jetted off to the Katie Gallagher presentation. after a quick change at our hotel, we arrived at our last show of the evening by Cindy Monteiro. she is only 26 and from the Pacific Islands, so her models wore a lot of burlap, seashells, and green vines as accents. by this time, we realized we hadn't eaten all day, so a few of us went to Ruby's, which is an Australian restaurant by Little Italy and came highly recommended by ColorMeCourtney. it was a busy day, but such a good one! if you missed my NYFW Day 1 outfit and recap, you can find it here. stay tuned for Day 3 tomorrow! xx teal blazer c|o ASOSteal shorts c|o ASOSblack v neck tee c|o ASOShot pink OTK boots c|o ASOSgold statement ball choker c|o ASOScat eye sunglasses c|o ASOShot pink Chanel Boy bag {similar here}Candy Yum Yum lipstick
