casual friday no. 2: Fyre Festival & clear bags

welcome back to another edition of casual friday {see the first one last week}! this week was kind of a whirlwind since it was short, and then today we are taking a half day so we can head up to North Scottsdale for a little weekend getaway! every year, all the adults on my dad's side of the family get together at The Boulders Resort in Carefree. it's an incredible relaxing resort; we hang out by the multiple pools, get a few spa treatments, eat amazing food, and soak up the desert vibes. it was this time last year that we told my parents we were starting to look for a home to buy outside of San Francisco. SO crazy that we've come full circle and are now living/building a home right here in Arizona!without further adieu...this week was Couture Week in Paris, and i always tune in to the Chanel show. i can't ever get over the venue and how it's always transformed into something magical!this week i purchased the cutest cheetah workout set {sports bra and leggings}! this is a size-inclusive brand i love and highly recommend.speaking of... i'm currently working on my curvy girl denim guide! i'll be featuring five or six brands that are my tried and true go-tos. the guide will cover multiple price points, size inclusivity, and styles/washes!over the last weekend, robbie and i watched both the Hulu and Netflix documentaries of the Fyre Festival! i'm sure you've heard the buzz around these, and we recommend watching in the order of Netflix and then Hulu's version. The Netflix doc is much prettier, but more importantly i think it shows better why there was such a draw to attend the festival. the Hulu version interviews Billy himself {the main scammer in this scandal}, so it's super interesting too. anyways, give them both a watch and let me know what you think! people have asked me as an influencer if i would have attended the festival... anddddd there were WAY too many red flags, so that would be a no from me!i'm almost done with this book and highly recommend it! the secret is wild. definitely a page turner!it's super trendy right now to have a clear bag and fun little pouches inside of it {a la Blair Eadie}. i ordered this one {under $150!} months ago {it was on backorder} and it came this week! so far, i've put my Chanel O Case and Louis Vuitton Toiletry 26 pouch inside, and it's such a fun and unique accessory. budget friendly version here!i haven't decided yet if i'm going to work with an interior designer for our new home. i know what i want, but at the same time all the options are overwhelming. if i do, i'd want to work with a local firm. i came across these fab gals and all their projects are so dreamy!with that in mind, i'm thinking i want to give our powder room an ode to the Beverly Hills Hotel, and this print would be so fun!last week on IG, a follower tagged me in this account and thought i'd be super interested in the jewelry designs. i'm so obsessed with what this artist is doing! i have yet to snag a piece {they are all hand-made and go super quick}, but i check daily and hope to soon.this brand has increasingly become one of my faves for minimal yet chic high-end designer bags + shoes. these pink slingback heels are on sale and i just might snag them for spring.this week here on SRL, i shared all about my PMD Beauty Personal Microderm and how it's been helping my skin! so many of you had questions about how it works, so on Sunday i'll be showing you on IG Stories. don't forget you can get 25% off with code 'SRL25' at checkout.Robbie and i are heading to Dallas mid next week for a super exciting opportunity! can't wait to share more! have a great weekend. xx
