team tripp: our five year wedding anniversary
may 10, 2014 was the best day of our lives! being surrounded by our closest friends and family as we committed to love and support one another for time and all eternity was a precious moment we'll always remember. it's crazy to think that we made those vows five years ago. it's one of those feelings where it feels like yesterday but also a lifetime ago. so much has changed in the past five years and yet our love has grown stronger.this stage of our life together feels like everything has come together perfectly: we're finally finding some work/life balance in Arizona, we're moving into our first home at the end of this month, and i'm 17 {almost 18!} weeks pregnant with sweet little Baby Tripp. it makes me tear up to think of all the special things happening in our lives right now and we're so grateful to have you all following along. some of you have been following us since we were newlyweds and that makes us so happy. whatever stage of life you started following, thank you for being here! we truly appreciate it.to celebrate five years of being together, Robbie and i decided it was time to upgrade my wedding ring. i absolutely love my ring that Robbie proposed with and that i've worn for the past five years. when Robbie was preparing to propose, he went to his good family friend Danny at Jeff White Custom Jewelry in Vegas and created a beautiful all rose gold ring with accents of pink sapphires {see detail shot on our wedding day post}. i will always cherish it and plan on giving it to one of our children someday!in anticipation of our fifth wedding anniversary, we went back to Danny at Jeff White Custom Jewelry and sat down at his design station where i told him everything i wanted in my dream ring and showed him lots of inspo photos. after tweaking a few renderings and Danny locating the perfect diamond, he then made me a wax model of the setting to try on with the diamond before creating the final product. a few weeks later, the final ring was complete and we picked it up in Vegas over Easter weekend! we will definitely be sharing the video of me seeing it for the first time because it literally took my breath away and my eyes welled up with tears! it is so stunning and i find myself staring at it all day. i'm so happy to have this special reminder of our love and commitment to one another! Jeff White Custom Jewelry are family friends, but truly are so talented and can make anything for all your custom jewelry needs.beyond the ring and this dreamy photoshoot at the Desert Botanical Gardens, this anniversary is going to be spent in a much more relaxed way than past anniversaries where we've always gone on trips. Robbie is surprising me with a fun little staycation right here in Arizona {i still don't know where we're staying but as long as it has a nice pool and a tub in the bathroom, i'm good haha!} and we are just going to take the day off and focus on being with each other.as i reflect on the past five years, i can only think how life truly has thrown just about everything in our path, and we've risen above it all together. we've grown and outgrown so many things, we've loved and we've laughed, we've fought and we've cried, we've traveled and we've put down roots in new places. at the end of the day, we've done it all together and that's what matters most. i'm so happy to be Mrs. Tripp and am so excited to be a mother to our little ones. i'm so glad that five years ago i made the best decision of my life and said yes.here's to five years, babe! and a million more to come. #TeamTripp always. xxps: recreated a fun little wedding shoot for this special anniversary! my dress was gifted from BHLDN and our sister Chantel shot our photos. i'll cherish these forever!
