moving to San Franciscoeasily the best memory of 2016! we packed up our 2 bedroom home and moved to a 1 bedroom condo in the most expensive city in the USA to pursue our dreams... and it's still the best decision we have ever made.making our first big adult purchase: our 2016 Mini Clubmannothing feels quite as good as spending your hard earned money on something important! we both were a little scared of making this purchase {we'd never done it before!}, but it was exciting and surprisingly simple. our little piece of "British sophistication" {as Robbie likes to refer to it} has already taken us up and down the California coast many times and we love it.spending our two year anniversary in Naparobbie surprised me with a two-day trip to Napa to celebrate two years married and it was so fun exploring this gorgeous area together! this was only a few weeks after we moved to San Francisco, so everything was so new and exciting to us.decorating our home {see the entire post here}this was the first time that our home decor really came together exactly as i had envisioned and we absolutely love our color palette. there's nothing quite like decorating exactly to your preferences to make a place really feel like home. {also, forever grateful i married a man who likes the color pink.}expanding my 'honor your curves' mantra2016 was a really big year for SRL in many different ways, but especially with really engaging my readers with body positivity posts. {read Robbie's sweet post about loving my curves here.} can't wait to continue to do even more posts on my favorite topic in 2017! tripp_sutro-83 Sutro Baths photoshoot {full post here}you probably all know by now that i take a lot of photos, and one of my favorite things is getting photos with Robbie. this is one of my very favorite shoots from the year and Robbie's talented sister Chantel Marie shot it! it's actually a couple's session, so click the link to see all the photos! it all came together perfectly--how moody it was, how my dress stood out against the grey skies, the birds in a flying v in the distance, how in love we both felt, and how a random florist all but threw this gorgeous bouquet in my arms for a few shots.attending NYFW for the first time{my comprehensive guide here if you're planning on attending in the future!}this had been a huge goal of mine for quite some time {since high school!} and to finally be able to make it to New York Fashion Week this past September was an actual dream come true. to be at a point in my career as a blogger to make this happen was pleasantly surreal.going to Paris for the first time{full outfit post here}although Robbie wasn't there with me, this was one of my favorite trips of the year {and we can't wait to go back together in 2017!}! Paris is everything any fashionista could ever dream of and being there during Christmastime with so many gorgeous decorations everywhere was incredible. and of course, being behind the scenes of the VS Show made it even more amazing!25th birthday surprisewe didn't originally plan to be in LA for my 25th birthday, but Robbie had a work trip so i of course tagged along! he had the entire day planned out for me {a SoulCycle ride in the morning, lunch at the famous Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel, a stop at Chanel on Rodeo Drive, etc}, but the real surprise was a photoshoot just as the sun was setting at the famous Griffith Observatory, overlooking the entire city of LA. i haven't blogged these photos yet, but they are some of my very favorite ever.home to Vegas for the holidaysthere's nothing like being home for the holidays with the ones you love most! we spent an entire week with my side of the family & it's always so fun to share Christmas traditions we grew up with together again!2016 was an amazing year for both of us, and we can't even wait to see what's in store for 2017 {read: big goals ahead!}! as always, thanks for following along and being some of my biggest supporters.
